| The
Black Alumni Network was founded in 1958 by African American Alumni
from the University of Maryland, College Park. The focus of this
alumni club is to facilitate African American alumni involvement
in variety of ways. Which can include but not limited to campus
involvement, professional development, and social events for undergraduate
students interested in communicating with or joining the alumni
association.
Membership:
Membership
to Black Alumni Network is the same as membership to
UM Alumni Association. It is not required to attend events but
is benefical.
Who
Can Join:
There
are two types of membership to the Alumni Association. You can join
the alumni association as an alumnus if at any time you were enrolled
at the University of Maryland. Even if you're not an alumnus, you
can still join us as a friend of the University. All cost are the
same.
